Sharon Pistilli
Meet Fairfield County hero Sharon Pistilli. She is a mom of two, RTM of the 3rd district, human resources consultant and she has been very busy! Back in early March, it started with a frantic text from a friend who is an ER doctor. Sharon’s friend was terrified about the situation and wanted to make sure the hospital would have enough equipment on hand when the pandemic hit. Sharon leapt into action. She cold-called Modern Plastics in Shelton where she sourced face shields. She started matching manufacturers and importers with hospitals.

Sharon also coordinated an effort to sew 30 isolation gowns and scrub caps for Pediatric Healthcare Associates (PHA). Neighbors came together in solidarity as a show of support for PHA and donated funds to purchase material.
Sharon enlisted the help of her mom who sewed about 100 scrub caps for the labor and delivery department at a local hospital.

Hats off to Sharon for her commitment to our community and for spear-heading a grass roots effort to supply our front line worker with much-needed PPE!
